Introducing our beautiful crackling candles with wooden wicks and a coconut soy wax! With a long burn time of about 30 hours per candle, not only is coconut soy wax vegan, but it is also safest for pets to be around and has little to no smoke release. Our all-natural candles are completely paraffin and toxin free. And our wicks crackle to give that extra hygge feeling during the winter months đ„°âïž
Pictured here is our Hygge Days candle. The scent is that of sweet bonfire embers and mossy coals đ
Happy JĂłl everyone! JĂłl (Old Norse), or Yule (modern English), was the celebration in pagan times that started on the first full moon after the first new moon following the winter solstice. I know, a lot of steps to this holiday! It was celebrated over the course of three days and started with a big feast where people would celebrate the coming of longer days and warmer weather. The Norse would give sacrifices to deities like Ăðinn, NjÇ«rðr, and Freyr for prosperity and good weather. Later, during the christianization period, HĂĄkon góði (Haakon the Good in English and HĂ„kon den gode in Norwegian) combined Christmas celebrations with pagan Yule in an attempt to make the transition easier for Norway.
