Our Wee Folk of the Bog candle takes us to an ancient place in the celtic lands of Ireland. The fragrance is that of an earthy, mossy bog. One that will feel as if you have found the mysictical home of the fairies. This candle uses coconut/soy wax to not only give a smokeless flame that is safe for pets, but also is a long burning vegan alternative. Enjoy the crackling sound of our wooden wicks while breathing in the fresh scent of a wooded bogland.

The aos sí (modern Irish), or áes síde (old Irish), are a significant theme in Irish folklore. Colloquially called "the wee folk" in order to not say their true name, the fay are regarded as mischievious but mostly benevolent figures. The word "síde" means fairy mound, or sometimes defined as ancient burial mound, is where these wee folk live. The origins of these folkloric creatures in disputed, some believing they are thought to come from fallen angels that are not evil enough for Hell. But some believe they are descendants of the Tuatha Dé Danann, the pantheon belonging to Celtic mythos.
